ManukaVantage
A wellness range featuring the exceptional natural properties of Manuka Oil and premium certified Manuka Honey.
The Native Manuka Tree
Manuka is a native tree of New Zealand. It grows abundantly through-out the country, though thrives in rugged, coastal environments.
Manuka was originally used therapeutically by the Maori hundreds of years ago for the treatment of many different ailments including reducing fever, stiff joints and inflammation. It is only in recent history that the medicinal effects of Manuka that were recognised so long ago by the Maori have been scientifically proven.
Manuka is the traditional Maori name. It is also often referred to as Tea Tree. It is not to be confused with Ti Tree (marketed as Tea Tree) from Australia.
Researchers have established that Manuka Oil has natural antibacterial, anti-fungal and anti-allergenic properties.
Manuka Oil is proven for the treatment of common ailments such as Athletes foot, dandruff and acne. It is also an effective antihistamine – rapidly removing the itchiness, irritation and sting from insect bites, and from skin reactions due to contact with stinging plants such as nettle. It is particularly effective with calming irritated skin conditions.
